| Q | What does GRC-NAWBO stand for? | | A | It is an acronym for the Greater Rochester Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. | | | | Q | How long has the chapter been existence? | | A | Although NAWBO as a national organization was started in 1977, our local chapter was chartered in 1987. | | | | Q | How many chapters are there nationally? | | A | There are 80 chapters across the country. | | | | Q | What types of activities does the chapter have on a monthly basis? | | A | We currently have approximately 5 events each month. Check our event calendar for all of the events. | | We have a Business Book Club at the Pittsford library A PowerLunch at Jay's Diner An Education and Resource Seminar twice a month at the Century Club A monthly event either featuring a speaker or a great networking opportunity | | | | Q | What does it cost to join? | | A | Our national and local dues are combined and the total is $175 annually for an emerging business (in business for less than 2 years) and $225 for an existing business. | | | | Q | Do I have to be a business owner to join? | | A | You do not have to own a business, however, you have to be a decision maker in a business. We also welcome up to 10% of our membership from larger organizations who wish to network and be connected with women business owners. | | | | Q | What benefits do I receive as a member? | | A | So many!!
